Located in western Sydney, the restaurant serves lunch to almost 100 hungry people 6-days a week. “In just a few short months we’ve seen a 300% increase in demand for meals”, said Rev. Bill Crews.
Those meals are prepared at the Foundation’s industrial kitchen in Ashfield, then transported to Lethbridge Park. There, they are served by community volunteers to the hungry and those in need.
The growing requirement for meals in Lethbridge Park mirrors a rise in demand across the Foundation’s food service programs. This is expected to increase further as cost of living pressures persist.
