Our Literacy team provide a holistic reading intervention program called ‘All About Reading”, which helps children with low-literacy skills achieve the same educational and social outcomes as their peers. This program is essential in building a strong foundation for each child's learning journey.
Currently, 41% of Australians lack the functional literacy needed to manage their daily lives effectively. Low literacy is a significant predictor of disadvantage, limiting people's ability to participate fully in both the economy and their communities.
With your support we can address these issues by delivering literacy interventions in schools located in the most disadvantaged areas - those with very low NAPLAN scores. Our program uses direct instruction, a phonics-based approach to reading, and has been shown to improve reading levels by up to 25 months in just 18 weeks.
