Nandini Thadani - Eighty & Elegant

As we celebrate this milestone birthday, we also celebrate a very special woman.
Nandini’s sincerity, love, dedication, and compassion is second to none. She migrated from India with her husband Harkishin and 2 children Preeti & Dinesh to Sydney in 1979 and since then she has worked tirelessly to bridge the gap in the Indian community by organising and hosting cultural and religious events keeping her Indian heritage while carving a place in her adopted homeland.
After retiring from her career in the Australian Tax Office, Nandini co-created Sydney Sakhi Sangam in 1997 a NFP which ran for 17 years and pioneered a platform to engage women in the Indian diaspora.
Nandini stands by her values and never misses an opportunity to help someone in need. For decades she has assisted in charity and community organisations. Service to humanity is Nandini’s motto. One of the first charities she volunteered in Sydney is the Rev. Bill Crews Foundation, where she assisted in cooking and serving food to those less fortunate.
As we mark Nandini’s 80th birthday, let's make it extraordinary by supporting the Rev. Bill Crews Foundation a charity close to her heart. In lieu of birthday gifts, we would be grateful if you would contribute to a cause that brings hope, support, and change to countless lives.
