From death’s door to a new life

When Peter came to The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation for help he was homeless and suffering cancer. What’s more, he had succumb to substance misuse; it was his way of coping with the stress of his situation. The future looked terribly bleak for Peter.

Thankfully, the Foundation’s health and social workers changed everything. A doctor was assigned to care for Peter and liaise with his cancer treatment team at a local hospital. Meanwhile, the Foundation’s social workers collaborated with the medical team to get Peter off the streets and into appropriate housing.

Today Peter has a safe place to call home. He is also in remission from cancer and is regaining his health. In fact, he is even able to engage in the hobbies he loves.

Peter’s is one of countless stories of Easter renewal at The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation. They are stories only made possible thanks to the generous support of the kindhearted people who donate.
