Indigenous artists perform
The NAIDOC Week celebration at The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation is open to all. Those attending will experience a smoking ceremony by Uncle Terry Olsen who will be joined by Aunty Jenny on clap sticks.
There will also be entertainers including the legendary Gomeroi on the digeridoo featuring Lisa Lawrence, not to mention local Aboriginal dance mob, The Gamarada Boys. As well as the Marlene Cummins Duo, Tye McGill and Nardi Simpson.
Aboriginal chef cooks for the hungry
First nations chef, Aunty Beryl will prepare a delicious BBQ lunch for all those who gather at The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation.
In keeping with the spirit of the event Aunty Beryl will cook kangaroo burgers in addition to other BBQ favourites like sausages.
The NAIDOC Week celebration will take place at The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation from 10:00am on Sunday, 3 July 2022.
