Rev. Bill Crews is proud to announce the launch of his Foundation’s annual Christmas appeal, raising much needed funds to feed and support those less fortunate.
At midday on Friday 15 November 2024 the Christmas appeal will be officially launched around a Wishing Tree in Ashfield Mall, with the help of much-loved Australian Jessica Rowe and a choir of students from Ashfield Primary School.
The Wishing Tree will be filled with festive wishes; gift suggestions written on small tags. Shoppers can select a tag and purchase the gift, which will be donated to someone less fortunate. Alternatively, Sydneysiders can show they care by donating at the website for The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation.
"This season lots of people face a bleak Christmas because of the cost-of-living crisis. But we can make it better when Sydneysiders show their kindness by giving to my Christmas appeal", said Rev. Bill Crews, CEO and founder of The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation.
Feeding the hungry at Christmas
Christmas Day at The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation is a festive celebration like no other. At least 2,000 people will come to share a meal and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Hundreds of happy volunteers will serve Christmas lunch to them. There will be ham and turkey with delicious roast vegetables, as well as scrumptious Christmas puddings. Everyone will also get a donated gift and Santa will be there with presents for the kids.
